AAA survival or demise

Well it was announced that one of the major homports of AAA arena coliseo de monterrey had severed all ties with AAA. Arena Coliseo de Monterrey is actually owned by the City itself, it then assigns who will be in charge of it. In this situation Multimedios is in charge. Multimedios took over several years ago and dismissed Lila Cavazos from her position as wresting promoter. She was replaced by Lic Carlos Elizondo. Who was unable to maintain the fanbase of the Arena. A couple of years ago, Adolfo Tapia better known as La Parka (there is only one) was promoting shows on Fridays nights at the Domo Care at the Fairgrounds in Monterrey. Tono Pena came in and actually was able to convince the city that he could do a better job and took over the Domo. This only lasted a couple of shows. Pena then came to an agreement that he would take over Sunday slot at the Coliseo from Elizondo. Elizondo promoted only on Tuesdays, mostly with local talents. Sundays shows were primaryly run by AAA, I do not kow whether or not Pena was involved but it was mostly AAA. This would be part of the Northern Mexico sequence. Sunday in Monterrey, Monday in Nuevo Laredo, Tuesday in Reynosa. So know with Elizondo taking back Sunday nights, it bring about an interesting situation as what will happen with the northern circuit. The main AAA promoter in the Tamaulipas area Arturo Serna better known as The Panther (pictured on left), had established a workign agreement with CMLL several years ago. A couple of weeks ago he leasesd the Arena Coliseo de Reynosa, Tamaulipas and will be running CMLL talent on Sunday matinees. His AAA shows on Tuesdays at Arena JuBa have been mostly with Hator, Antifaz, Corazon de Barrio, Estrella Dorada and Pimpinela. He would maybe run with AAA main eventers once a month. Makes you think if Serna was aware of Tono Pena's condition and was covering all his basis.
